The Bankruptcy Petition Preparation Process

About

My name is Patrick Campbell, President of Outsourced Paralegal Services, LLC. I have over eighteen (18) years of experience in Bankruptcy Law as a Paralegal, the majority of that time spent working with one of the Chapter 13 Trustees in New York as well as with a large creditor bankruptcy firm dealing with Chapter 7 & Chapter 13 Bankruptcies.  This has provided me with a well-rounded experience in bankruptcy law from both the creditor and debtor side.

Expertise/Process

Outsourced Paralegal Services, LLC has been operating for over thirteen (13) years and within that time has filed more than 1,000 Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases for solo practitioners as well as medium and large law firms throughout the United States. Some of the states where Outsourced Paralegal Services, LLC has provided extensive legal support services to attorneys and has filed consumer bankruptcy petitions include: California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, Texas and Wisconsin.

After receipt of their initial documents a follow up email and phone call is made to go over any outstanding issues or items needed to finalize the petition. Once the petition is completed a final draft is sent to the attorney and client for review and signature.

Once the Petition has been filed an email is sent attaching the 341 Notice with instructions as to the next steps. Reminder emails are sent to complete the financial management course to avoid a delay in their discharge. Prior to the 341 meeting of creditors all required documents are provided to the Trustee for review.

As it pertains to Chapter 13 filings, the process remains the same. What is included is a review of the proof of claims once the deadline to file claims has expired. An amendment to the Plan is prepared and any objections to claims are filed accordingly.

Every case is different but any other services required in each individual case is provided accordingly when needed.
